COEP Debate Society is proud to present the second edition of the Sir Visvesvaraya Memorial British Parliamentary Debate on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of February 2019 at College of Engineering, Pune. 

This year, the Debate Society of COEP, takes the tradition forward by making Visvesvaraya bigger and better with exciting cash prizes and highly experienced and renowned Core Adjudication Panel. Visvesvaraya Debate will provide a platform for teams to debate and discuss pressing issues and put forward their best cases. This time we are looking forward to diversifying the debate by inviting teams across the country to ensure high quality debate.

About College 

College of Engineering, Pune (COEP), the 3rd oldest engineering college in Asia, is ranked among the top 15 engineering colleges in the country. Equipped with state of the art infrastructure, the college is an embodiment of excellent technical education and all-round development.

No. Of Team 

We have a strict team cap of 32 teams at this edition. We accept registrations for institutional teams, cross teams as well as individual adjudicators. Please register as far as possible as contingents to make planning and logistics easier.

The registration fees 

(excluding accommodation & transport at INR 1200) for the tournament is as follows: 
INR 1300 for per speaker (Teams of 2, standard British Parliamentary format)
INR 800 for adjudicators
