K.K. Luthra Memorial Moot Court
The K.K. Luthra Memorial Moot Court was started in 2005 in the memory of late Senior Advocate Mr. K.K. Luthra. This is the only international criminal law moot court held in India and has seen participation from top law colleges in India and abroad. It is held every year in January at the Campus Law Centre in Delhi University. The competition is named after late Senior Advocate Mr. K.K. Luthra who was an eminent criminal lawyer and appeared in various trial courts, High Courts and the Supreme Court of India in a variety of matters during his legal career spanning 49 years.
The Faculty of Law was established in 1922 by the University of Delhi and is an accredited legal institution by the Bar Council of India. LL.B. is a full-time professional course recognized and regulated by the Legal Education Rules 2008 of the Bar Council of India. Campus Law Centre fondly known as CLC is one of the premier legal education centers of the country. It was established in 1922, under the aegis of University of Delhi in its foundation year. Being a part of Faculty of Law, the CLC offers a three-year LL.B (Bachelor of Law) programme of study, and LL.M., MCL and Ph.D. programmes of studies managed by the Faculty of Law. The unique pedagogy of the CLC is the case-based study and the institute provides the case materials which are regularly revised to incorporate contemporary developments in the field of law.

What Are The Details Of The Event?
- Date of the event: 19th-21st January, 2024
- Mode: Offline Venue: Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, Delhi (India)
Eligibility:
- Members of the team must be valid UNDERGRADUATE students pursuing a recognized Bachelor of Law (or international equivalent) programme. (Note – Bachelor of Law means a 3 year course post-graduation or 5 year integrated course for Indian students or an undergraduate degree in law recognized by the Bar or Regulator of where the student is undergoing education)
- Only ONE team can register from a particular College or Law School for participation in the competition. In the event two registrations are received from the same College or Law School, the Team which submits a letter first by the Head / Dean of the Institution / Moot Court Committee, authorizing them to participate on behalf of the College or Law School shall be entitled to participate and will be registered.
Team Composition:
- Each team shall consist of two speakers and one researcher. The team may consist of only two speakers. The Organizers will assign a code to each team and its members.
- If a fourth member is brought by the teams, s/he shall not be permitted to sit with or assist the teams during the rounds and would be provided accommodation at his/her own cost. Certification shall not be awarded to the fourth member.
